Dear Self

Dear Self, the world see you looking in the mirror, images of you getting much clearer.

I wrote a letter just to better my soul, if I don't express it, then forever I'll hold it inside.

I'm from a side where we are free spirited, expressing ourselves in the hood played fatherly role. My story, like yours got to be told. Trying to make it from a hood to a godlier role. It's never too early to face yourself in the mirror and start reflecting on yourself.

Be ready for evolution. Be that change YOU want to be. Black child do not be discouraged  by the noise of the roaring lion, that's all it knows. Do not rob the world the best of you. It isn’t about how much sense you make, it is about how compelling you are. Life is too short to be bitter and angry over things that you cannot change. Black child refuse to become a victim of circumstance. 'Hearts rebuilt from hope resurrect dreams killed by hate.'

Diversity is an aspect of human existence that cannot be eradicated by terrorism or war or self-consuming hatred. It can only be conquered by recognizing and claiming the wealth of values it represents for all. If the idea of loving those whom you have been taught to recognize as your enemies is too overwhelming, consider more deeply the observation that we are all much more alike than we are unalike.
