The Long Anticipated Rihanna #ANTI

I was at work, round about tea time as I usually take coffee while listening to my daily dose of 10 o'clock on the popular commercial station in Mzansi. There was a banger hit single of the long anticipated #Rhis what was suppose to be #R8 and I was jamming to the airwaves in my earphones while working. Boy was I sold? and that's how I got hooked. I've always been Rihanna's fan, not only of her music but her strong personality and attitude. I love how she present herself. Rhi is one of the misunderstood pop icon, most people love to hate her because for them, its looks so cool to criticise her and it makes them feel like they belong to a certain #groupie.

I went online to find out more about the album. Only to find one of my Facebook friends had shared a link to what looks like a full #Anti album and I just clicked out of curiosity. BOOM  and after a few minutes I had a full album. you should have seen the excitement on my face as I was jamming the rest of the day in the office. On my way home, I continued listening to the album and by then I had already picked my two favourite jams. #HIGHER and #LOVEONTHEBRAIN I just couldn't stop listening to those two until I decided to listen to the whole album without skipping a track. I had never done that since Frank Ocean's last project, Blonded. Talk about FRANK, I cant wait to listen to his next album. What I love about Frank is the lyrical content, boy can paint a picture that only a few with witty dumb a$# mind-set can understand. Ok back to Rhi, she raised the bar and she is up there with Frank.

She has grown and matured musically. I enjoy the musicality in this album and the story behind each song. I love an album with songs that speaks to each other and she slayed that. Every time I listen to #ANTI I feel like she's right next to me opening up about her wounds and chapters in her life she's not proud of but she still continue sharing because, she knows the impact her story has on someone like me. Wow I love her honesty and emotions behind the whole album.
