Idols Season 15 Top 15 |
Lemme First acknowledge the fact that 2019 Idols contestants brought their guns and pipes to win it. In the past two weeks, Group One and Group Two gave their best performances to try and earn a spot in the Top 10. Like in any competition, someone
has to leave. In the tradition of Idols, this is where a significant cut is made. South Africa voted for their favourite, bringing them one step closer to be crowned Idols SA season 15 winner. Ku rough bafwethu!!

Proverb opened the show by acknowledging and paying respect to Randall Abrahams who has been part of Idols SA from season 1, and he is celebrating 15 years with Idols this season. Somizi also recognised Proverb’s decade-long milestone as host of Mzansi’s favourite music show.

The Top 17 and Proverb warmed the stage by a stella performance singing an energetic and soulful rendition of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’, reminding everyone to show each other respect. This was followed by a guest performance by multiple Grammy Award winning group Black Mmabazo alongside Idols’ judge Unathi.

The contestants from Group One put State Theatre in singing mode with their performance of ‘Giant’ by Calvin and Rag & Bone Man. Later on in the show, Group Two got the audience on their feet with Ciara’s ‘Level Up’.

Idols SA Season 13 winner, Paxton and Tresor graced the stage with their latest single ‘Kiss The Haze’.

The first hopefuls to be cut off from Group One were Sizwe Hlatshwayo, Louise Nichols, Xola Toto, and Andy Keys. The first five contestants to make it into the Top 10 are Virginia Qwabe, Viggy Qwabe, Nolo Seodisha, Mmangaliso Gumbi, and Dinky Kunene. With hearts already broken, and others pumping fast with excitement and joy, Shado M took to stage singing her popular 2019 hit, Inhliziyo Yami ithi Hey!

From Group Two, Nqobile Gumede, Sneziey Msomi, Micayla Oelofse and Luyolo Yiba made it to the Top 10. This sent Zia Fielies, Treasure Mngadi and Craig Jordaan packing for home as their journey with Idols SA came to an unfortunate end.
The Wild Card battle was between Xola Toto and Innocentia Sibi. And with the highest votes, Innocentia completed the Top 10, sending Xola home.
With over 20. 7 million votes, Virginia Qwabe, Viggy Qwabe, Nolo Seodisha, Mmangaliso Gumbi, Nqobile Gumede, Dinky Kunene, Sneziey Msomi, Micayla Oelofse, Luyolo Yiba and Innocentia Sibi were announced as your Idols SA Season 15 Top 10.
