In Season 15 of Idols SA he was fourth in line and today he managed to be the first in line for this season. The late Thami Shobede was his vocal coach as well his inspiration. “Thami kept on pushing me to do more and stay focused so that I can make it in the music industry” Lungisani said. He does a lot of video performances online and has thousands of views on his social media platforms. Lungisani is better known as Mr Bruce Music.
The vibrant and cheerful Claydene Morrow is currently studying beauty therapy. Being born and raised in the Eastern Cape (Umtata), the 20-year-old feels it’s time that the world gets to see her talent. She has always been hesitant to enter and this time her mother who happens to be her biggest inspiration motivated her to give it a try and see what will come out of this. Claydende said “My mother said to me the world is yours regardless of how many people are in it…it’s all yours.” She spends a lot of her time shopping and exploring new things.
Tiisetso Somo (23) resides in Pretoria and she is determined to go to all the cities to audition. She auditioned in Pretoria and was not successful in going to the next round. Just like Tiisetso, the 27-year-old Omari Nomfundo Ndzimande auditioned in Pretoria and she came to Durban to give it another try. She is from Mpumalanga and currently stays in Germiston in Gauteng. Omari also has experience in music realities shows, in 2014 she was on clash of the choirs and it’s her second time entering Idols SA auditions. Ndzimande like her friend Tiisetso is also determined to go to Joburg auditions if things don’t go well here. “I am not about giving up anytime soon” Omari exclaimed.

Ray Xaba from Port Shepstone decided to give Idols a second chance after his nerves had previously gotten the better of him during his audition in 2019. The 21-year-old believes he has grown as an artist since last year and would like to change the financial situation back at home. Ray draws his inspiration from seeing Idols’ previous contestants and their success and is confident that Amanda Black’s ‘dali’ will see him through this round of auditions.
To give his own rendition of Kaygee DaKing & Bizizi ‘Kokota’, Bhortee Cele 26 from Kwamakhutha is here to give Idols a second chance. He believes Idols is the greatest platform in Africa which unearths talent and exposes contestants to opportunities they wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.
