Facts & Flaws Of Criminal Justice System In Mzansi

The Police and some of our society members are pure letdown to everyone to say the least. Let's take the Senzo Meyiwa's case as an example.

In October 2014 Orlando Pirates rising star Senzo Meyiwa was shot (not died immediately) at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo's home in Vosloorus. Senzo Meyiwa did not die on the scene, he was confirmed dead in hospital as Kelly Khumalo opted to drive him there herself. 7 people were at the house during the incident namely; Kelly Khumalo, Zandi Khumalo (sister), Ntombi Khumalo (mother), Longwe Twala (Zandi Khumalo's ex boyfriend aka Chico Twala's son), Christian Khumalo (Kelly and Jub-Jub's son), with Senzo's friends Tumelo Madlala and Mthokozisi Thwala.

No police nor the ambulance was called by any of the 7 people mentioned above. Police were called by neighbours. The story they spun is that 3 robbers came into the house asking for their wallets and phones, Senzo opted to fight the robber protecting his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo and that's how he got shot.

2 people/friends of Kelly were some of the people that arrived on the scene. One of them died (may his beautiful soul continue to rest), the other is a creative at some of Mzansi's television programs....Now these 2 friends knew the truth, the one that died (was murdered in his house by a friend, well a f*ck buddy to be frank), but before he was killed he shared the story with one of his best friends.

... And the "creative" did the same thing by sharing the story with his best friend, because the burden was too big for them. Sadly the creative's best friend also died in a car accident in the Eastern Cape. That guy was producing a number of Mzantsi's television shows. They were ALL sworn to secrecy.

Finally the police arrived started questioning the neighbour that called them and also asked other neighbours a few questions pertaining what they heard and saw. They all gave similar testimonials. But Ntombi Khumalo's testimony (Kelly's mother) was very different from her neighbours. The lead investigator Colonel Bongani Gininda was busted for withholding crucial information about the case. He was later taken off the case and moved to serve the SA police force in KwaZulu Natal. Ntombi Khumalo identified car washer Zamokuhle Mbatha as one of the robbers as the person that shot and killed Senzo Meyiwa... Zamukuhle was arrested to be later released due to insufficient evidence. 

Zamokuhle is now suing the state for 10 million rands. And lastly the police are saying the case is with the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and that noone from that office wants to sign  off warrant of arrests to arrest the REAL suspects. 

Now with all this information available at hand to the authorities, yet there's no arrest. Who would you rather?
