Musician Phelo Bala released his latest single, “Andisafuni” and for me its the drama on the streets of Twitter. This past week the star found himself trending for a number of reasons. In a conversation with a friend before the release of a jam that is "Andisafuni" I told a friend, boy better bring out his guns. And boy it took a public break-up for Phelo to finally release a Banger.
The former “Joyous Celebration” member released his long anticipated single this past Friday and it does not take a throwing of bones to figure out that the lyrics are about his relationship with Moshe Ndiki.
In case you missed it, Phelo and Moshe were Mzansi’s it couple last year after they made their relationship public. However, things turned sour earlier this year when court papers surfaced in which Phelo claimed that Moshe assaulted him with a candlestick at their Northriding, Johannesburg, home and that it was an argument over alcohol consumption. In his court papers, Moshe claimed that over the past few months the relationship had become abusive with Phelo assaulting him on several occasions. He claimed that Phelo had an alcohol problem and started fights when he had too much to drink.
Fast forward to last week's debacle after the release of Phelo's latest single - Andisafuni. Phelo sings “This is not what I signed up for trust me I would rather be alone”. The lyrics go on to say "It’s the little things that get to me… and the lies that put me in between" he sings suggesting that Moshe Ndiki is a liar. He also sings about the kind of love he does not want. Singing further, Phelo Bala sings that he’ll never stay with someone who treats him like he will never get someone else.
On Friday morning during the Morning Flava on Metro FM Moshe Ndiki said his healing has been there and that his grandmother used to tell him it’s nice to break up with a man that is not financially there. “My grandmother used to tell me that akumnandi ukwehlukana nendoda engabhejiyo (a man who does not spoil you),” said Moshe Ndiki.
Phelo's older brother, Loyiso Bala posted a tweet asking his followers to listen to his little brother's new song - Andisafuni.
It went south when a popular former blogger Phil Mphela threw jabs on a tweet about his friend Moshe. Tweeps were not pleased with Phil's tweet.
It got heated and the people involved were not even entertaining it. Thats not #FMA bafwethu. After all is said and done. Phelo's "Andisafuni" a jam!
