Christina on The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice reunion

The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice is an exciting first-of-its-kind reality show that follows the lives of affluent mothers in Durban’s vibrant Indian community.

As the first spinoff from the hit Showmax Original, The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice has sparked lively discussions among viewers, and now they can finally witness the dramatic conclusion in an epic two-part reunion special.
Hosted by renowned journalist and media personality Shahan Ramkissoon, this highly anticipated event will feature an all-star cast, including Abigail Nepaul, Asharia Parsad, Christina Devraj, Devina Kowlas, Kim Jones, Lenore Goss-Matjie, Neetasha Singh Bugwandin, and the twins, Losh and Resh Naidoo.

In anticipation of the reunion, we caught up with Christina and this is what she had to say:

What are some of the things you would like to clarify from watching the show?
There are numerous points I feel compelled to address. While I wasn’t present, many things were said about me, some quite outrageous that I believe are not appropriate for grown women to discuss at all.

Watching the show was truly shocking and, frankly, disturbing. I was disheartened to see some of these women speculating about my mental health; such comments were completely uncalled for.

Is there one person in particular you want to confront?
Absolutely, I want to address Resh. I find her behaviour towards me to be exceptionally vile. She went out of her way to gossip about my daughter. While I understand this is a show where a little shade is expected, she continued her attacks even after filming, participating in interviews and attempting to label me.

Is there anyone you feel you owe an apology to?
The only person I owe an apology to is Lenore. She has always held a special place in my heart, and I’ve apologised to her multiple times because I believe that I hurt her.

As I watched the show, I realised that Kim and I need to have an open conversation. She gossips a lot and is the root course of a lot of issues. There’s definitely room for reconciliation, but I’ve also learned some disgusting things that have left me disappointed in her behaviour and ability to stir the pot.

Though she has reached out to apologise off-screen, I’m curious to see if she will maintain that same sincerity now that the cameras are rolling.

Heading into the reunion, do you have any regrets?
No, I have no regrets. I believe that I have been authentic.

Why should viewers tune in to the reunion?
People should definitely watch the reunion because it will reveal the true nature of the dynamics among the cast. Viewers will finally get to see things as they really are and witness the cast members for who they truly are. Many have been putting on a façade, and this reunion will expose that.
