Netflix Releases Trailer for ‘Love & Wine’ - a Perfect Blend of Love, Comedy and Romance

It’s time to raise a glass to love this summer as Netflix drops the trailer for the romcom Love & Wine, premiering on 5 December 2025. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cape Winelands, Love and Wine is an adaptation of the Brazilian film Ricos de Amor. The story follows Ovee  (Ntobeko Sishi), a privileged heir determined to prove that his name isn’t what defines him. Unimpressed by the success of his family, Ovee has always followed his own path with wit and charm. In a bold move, he enlists his best friend and driver, Nathi (Thandolwethu Zondi), in a scheme to determine if love and resolve can triumph over social standing.

But when a beautiful and grounded doctor, Amahle (Masali Baduza), enters his life, what begins as a test of identity becomes a journey of self-discovery and a chance to learn about true love. Meanwhile, as part of the scheme, Nathi’s enjoying the soft life that comes with the Sityebi name, and while chasing the same internship, he finds himself unexpectedly drawn to the winery’s stern but striking manager, Lena (Thando Thabethe).
