Ngiceli Sgubhu — A vigorous and enthusiastic amapiano track with a catchy hook and featuring none other than the musically inclined piano vocalist Leon Lee.constructed through musing masterful instruments not only to lure the earworms but rather to give rise to lighthearted sentiment, through its spirited staccato rhythm, upbeat progression of the percussion and that yano flavor that Mzansi is smitten over. “Ngiceli Sgubhu was created on a random day, whilst myself, Leon Lee and Dj Gorman were simply chilling, and we started creating this drumbeat on the table and the rest is history”- Javie Javas
Ngiceli Sgubhu, was clearly created from an authentically South African place of inspiration, the reminder of childhood nostalgia when we simply created music in the classroom by beating on the class desks for entertainment purposes. This recollection is embedded in the foundation of this track, it carries a familiar significance that most, if not all of us can relate to.
The Amapiano genre has had a variety of facelifts through a plethora of musicians by virtue of genre fusion and incredible features. Ngiceli Sgubhu is no different over and above the catchy hook and the table drum nostalgia Javie Javas made a calculated choice by having Leon Lee feature on this track, Leon Lee is known for his amazing delivery of vocals on Mzansi most loved hits much like the hit Mang’Dakwe. Leon Lee hails from the capital of Pretoria and has certainly made his mark on the diverse music scene of SA. Ngiceli Sgubhu is anticipated to become a festive season favorite by simple virtue of the fact that the radio uptake has been significant.
Ngiceli Sgubhu is seeing a notable rise in streams and plays across South African platforms, with the festive season in full gear Javie Javas is already receiving a large number of bookings.
