Big Brother Left Fans Shook As Yoli, Norman and Vyno are booted from Big Brother Mzansi With Triple Eviction

After one of the most dramatic weeks so far on this season’s Big Brother Mzansi, Yoli, Norman and Vyno became the latest Housemates to be evicted from Biggie’s house. This was the first triple eviction. #BBM fans are not pleased with triple eviction.

Speaking to host Lawrence Maleka, Yolanda Glover aka Yoli said she wasn’t surprised. “I expected it. The competition I was up against was tight.”

When asked if she thought anyone betrayed her by nominating her, the teacher from Pinetown said she felt there was no malice behind her Housemates’ votes. “I genuinely think I was nominated because I hadn’t stood up yet. They were like, ‘She hasn’t been nominated yet, so let her be nominated’. I trust my gut.”

For Norman Nhlapo, he appreciated every moment in the house. “The only prize wasn’t the R2-million – it was the exposure to tell my story and to represent my people,” said the daycare worker based in Hillbrow, Johannesburg. “I didn’t survive, I lived.”

He said he was proud that he always remained himself, while everyone else in the House were “snakes”.

Musician Vyno Miller – real name Bongani Sikhukhula – who was one of the surprise Housemates introduced later in the game, told Lawrence his feelings about Sis Tamara nominating him: “I won’t lie, I was touched, but the game is the game.”

About his hot-then-cold-then-hot-again relationship with Terry, Vyno told Lawrence: “When she comes out, if she still feels the same, we can grow into it.”

Last week’s Head of House Gash1, his deputy Nthabii, Terry and Themba were the other Housemates up for eviction.

This comes at the end of a rollercoaster week, where Sis Tamara was Head of House for the second time, choosing Venus as their deputy. The Housemates landed in hot water with Big Brother, with Terry receiving her first strike (for “careless words, [and] rude behaviour and actions,” said Biggie).

Some of the major events of the week included Mphowabadimo and Libo clashing (which resulted in tears), Terry and Vyno’s romance hitting the rocks and, in happier news, Venus celebrating her birthday.

Last week Big Brother also presented a change of his rules, with the previously-forbidden voting conspiracy now allowed, with Housemates now able to plot who should be up for nomination.

There are 11 Housemates left in the game, with the mouth-watering R2-million cash prize up for grabs, and to quote host Lawrence Maleka: “Life in Big Brother Mzansi is like a board game – every move the Housemates make counts.”
