Gash1 is ready to lead as the new Head of House in Big Brother Mzansi.

Big Brother Mzansi brings the age old saying of “Love Lives Here” to life in this week’s Head of House challenge. The three Valentine’s Day themed challenges stretched the housemates’ strategic acumen in their fight against the clock and against each other.

The housemates gathered to fight for their love for the Big Brother House, as well as their hopes of winning R2 Million in this season of Big Brother Mzansi.

The arena is set and ready to have the housemates turned contestant battle it out. Three stations for three games are tactfully placed around the room. The first challenge commences whereby the housemates have to drop as many heart sweets into the bottle in two minutes.

In this game of love and war, the housemates quickly learnt that you win some, and you lose some. Of the 15 housemates who had entered the challenge with equal chances of winning, only 5 progressed to the next round.

Tensions arose in the second challenge as the clock neared zero and hearts are broken seeing the Head of House title slip further from their reach and possible eviction inch ever closer. Another 3 housemates and competitors were culled from the possible win in sixty seconds, leaving Ntabii and Gash1 standing.

The third and final challenge was one of wits and speed as the two contestants had to stack as many heart-shaped biscuits in 60 seconds. Ntabii’s tower wobbled towards the end of the time, toppling soon after the time was up with Gash1’s tower following suit, but his speed and determination ensured his win of the Head of House title with Ntabii being the honourable Deputy Head of House.

After a vigorous challenge, lovely Valentine’s Day treats courtesy of Big Brother were laid out in the garden for the housemates to partake in.

Amidst the merriment, Ntabii shared that she was excited and happy to have won the deputy head of house in the diary room. “I’m glad that at least this week there’s a change in who gets to leave the house,” she adds. Ntabii employs strategy to nominate her possible evictees as she does not have people, she would consider friends in the house.

Gash1 shared that he was ecstatic to finally be Head of House and to lead a group of people in the house after being reminded by Biggie of his duty to ensure housemates maintain the rules of the house. By winning the game and position, Gash1 has also won the opportunity to nominate possible evictees for the week. “I’m excited to see how the public views my nominations”, Gash1 exclaimed as he strategically nominated his potential evictees.

This week Big Brother announced that the Head of House may once again veto, save and replace a Deputy Head of House nomination. Norman was saved from eviction this week and replaced with Zino, making the final list of potential evictees that comprised of Thato, B.U., Vyno, Zino, Nale, Libo, and Venus.
