The Basadi in Music Awards (Bima) officially set to return for the second annual award ceremony to be held on the 12th August 2023 at Joburg Theatre.
This year the ceremony will be hosted by actress and media personality Kanyi Mbau. Khanyi Mbau is set to take centre stage as the host of the Basadi in Music Awards.The media personality, who has been dominating the small screen, plans to put her best foot forward at the highly anticipated second annual awards ceremony on August 12 at the Joburg Theatre.
“It’s such an honour. It’s been a minute since I have been on a big stage, so they can expect fireworks, fun, and loads of energy,” she said
Bima presented the nominees in 24 categories and announced recipients of two special categories, the CEO’s Mosadi in Business Achievement Award and the Mosadi in Music in Africa Award, which were among three newly introduced categories alongside Reggae Artist of the Year, Nando's Emerging Artist of the Year and Mosadi in Music in Africa awards. Basadi in Music Awards will honour Letta Mbulu, PJ Powers and Angelique Kidjo with Basadi in Music Lifetime Achievement awards.
