MALI SAYS THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT AND SHES LOOKING Forward TO SEIZE EVERY OPPORTUNITY COMING HER WAY AFTER BEING FIRST HOUSEMATE TO BE EVICTED FROM BIG BROTHER MZANSI S4 – S’ya Mosha
The first week of Big Brother Mzansi – S’ya Mosha has served what was promised – drama – including the first eviction of the season. Last night, 28 January, Mali became the first housemate to be evicted leaving 22 housemates in the house with 19 still vying for the R2million grand prize.
The eviction took everyone by surprise as it has not been a norm for any housemate to be evicted in the first week of the show. However, because it’s the year of S’ya Mosha, this is proof that the game is not as you would expect. The show was opened by Mellow & Sleezy ft Tman Xpress performing their hit Imnandi Lento which was followed by host Lawrence Maleka taking the audience through the highlights of the week that was.
The season’s first Head of House, Mich was safe from eviction and so was Sammy M who won immunity during the week. However, Mich’s reign was not without drama as the housemates lost their first wager and also faced challenges of confrontational housemates.
During the show, some of the housemates spoke with Lawrence about their experiences in the house so far. McJunior and Pale spoke about their thoughts on PapaGhost being intense when working with his fellow housemates, while Mpumi gave the tea about Jareed having eyes for her and the other ladies in the house. Lerato Modise and Meelay discussed settling down, while Yolanda spoke about her relationship with food in Biggie's house.
After announcing who was safe from eviction, Lawrence then called out Mali as the first housemate to be evicted. The shocked Mali was given time to say her goodbyes to the housemates and made her walk to join Lawrence on stage. When questioned about her feelings regarding the eviction and how her experience was on the show. Mali said that she was bummed to be out so early and said she was a bit overwhelmed by the big personalities in the house when she went in and did not show up fully. “I am happy though that I stayed true to who I am,” she said.
We had a quick chat with Mali to hear about her future plans, listen below
