Prepare for a shake-up in the dynamics of the Kwenzo and Sibongile relationship as Jabu, a compelling new character, enters the scene and is set to challenge Kwenzo for Sibongile’s affections.
Jabu Mazibuko (Lungelo Tyson Mathonsi) assumes the role of Sibongile’s employer and romantic interest. Born to a blue-collar worker, Jabu's life took a turn when he received a bursary from his father’s employer, Mgazini Timbers, enabling him to attend a prestigious boarding school. Despite this opportunity, Jabu has always felt a void due to his father’s hardships under the Dlaminis.
Haunted by the memory of his father—a respected man who passed away impoverished—Jabu is driven by a deep-seated desire for justice and his ultimate goal is to avenge his father’s suffering at any cost.
The KZN born and bred performance art graduate has built a promising television career, showcasing his talent through various roles including appearances on 1Magic’s Grown Woman and Mzansi Magic’s DiepCity.
