JONNIE WALKER CELEBRATING A SONG OF FIRE AND A SONG OF ICE

The Johnnie Walker Warrior Polo is what happens when you bring together the Sport of Kings and the world’s most loved Scotch whisky brand. This past Sunday saw Mzansi’s most loved socialites and people of Jozi gathered to enjoy a day of polo, good music and of course the refreshing new blends of Johnnie Walker, A Song of Fire and A Song Ice, at the esteemed, Inanda Polo Club.

Hosted by the talented Anele Mdoda, guests were able to enjoy and engage in the action packed sport while showcasing their fashion interpretation of the critically acclaimed, Game Of Thrones series, House of Stark and House of Targaryen, while simultaneously enjoying refreshing whisky based cocktails, delicious food and good music.

From the polo tradition of divot stomping to a surprise music act by the soulful Langa Mavuso, guests got to witness the likes of Kefilwe Mabote, Andile Ncube, Cassandra Twala, Michelle Mosalakae and Kamo Mafokwane battle it out in a penalty shoot out right before the final game of the day.

True to the sophisticated Johnnie Walker style, the polo with a twist, hosted some of SA’s favourite fashionistas, in the House of Ice, the likes of Mihlali Ndamase, Mbali Mkhize and Mfumu Mhinga represented the theme in true style, showing us that even ice can be fire with their daring looks. The House of Fire, displayed some bold looks and was represented by the likes of Tshepi Vundla, Karabo The Curator and the culinary queen, Vicky Crease.
