Giovanni: Méthode Cap Classique by Jason M

Bafwethu the lockdown is showing everyone flames, We miss mabhiri hleeng. Likwa is something that brings us joy when we want to let loose and have a good time. No celebration is complete without adding some bubbly, Champagne dzaaalings! Whether it is at a wedding, birthdays celebrations or a night out with friends, popping has become a friend to new pop culture trends that brought so much sophistication and glam to the night life. Let me introduce Giovanni to you my darlings a Mèthode Cap Classique by Jason Mahlaka.

Giovanni  MCC  is a proudly South African luxury beverage produced locally and crafted by Karusa Vineyards in Cape Town, the home of best wines worldwide. I mean , who doesn't know that South African wines are the best. The difference between MCC and champagne is that the term "champagne" is reserved for wine made from grapes harvested in Champagne, France. Both wines rely on the traditional French fermenting process, which is labour intensive, time consuming and entirely reliant on handpicking only the best grapes to ensure exceptional quality and optimal purity of the fruit. Méthode Cap Classique( MCC), is South Africa's bubbly equivalent to France's champagne.

Jason M the Principal of Giovanni

"The name Giovanni is of Italian origin, meaning - God Is Gracious. With everything I have experienced in my life I feel blessed, just like everyone else, life has not always been great and I have witnessed how gracious God is. Hence ‘Giovanni" said Jason

Growing up in a small town called Tzaneen in Limpopo province Jason lived in an area called Magoebaskloof for 8 years. Magoebaskloof is a lush green mountainous area, covered by natural evergreen subtropical forest.

"I always felt like I live in a vineyard and that is where the love of wine begun, sharing a bottle of wine with friends and family over lunch or dinner is part of my tradition. When I moved to Gauteng around 2015,  I saw an opportunity to expand my business and completely shift gears from just being  a professional architectural technologist for over 12 years, to building a luxury beverage brand." Added Jason

In the past four years Jason have been attending a lot of events in joburg and some in other cities around mzansi. As an entrepreneur, he then realized that there’s something relatable missing in the MCC beverage business in South Africa, and Giovanni was the answer. After a few years of learning from the experts in the wine industry,  Jason launched Giovanni Brut MCC in 2017. The bar services offered by Giovanni comes with a touch of elegance, class and sophistication to add onto your night of glitz and glam while eventing.

According to Jason; consumers want comfort, happiness and satisfaction in their lives, and Giovanni give you exactly that and more.  I asked Jason what makes Giovanni special? and how does he plan to make Giovanni succeed. His response was that of a true entrepreneur who knows his market. Not all consumers are looking for the same thing or the same taste and he believe that Giovanni brings that satisfaction to someone looking for something new, different and locally produced. The Giovanni bar with raw wooden material and a touch of green background was inspired by the Magoebaskloof evergreen subtropical forest and designed by the man himself.

In a short while, you may need a drink, MCC to be specific, you will need a brand. And Giovanni is that brand that you can trust to fulfill your want with class. Giovanni MCC Brut is smooth and not too sour or too sweet.
