Nestle SA unveiled today a campaign with of Mbongeni Buthelezi x Nestlé for Smarties packaging going green.

Johannesburg - Earlier this year, South Africa’s popular confectionery brand, NESTLÉ SMARTIES globally announced their switch to 100% recyclable paper packaging. To celebrate this milestone, the brand has collaborated with contemporary recycling artist, Mbongeni Buthelezi to design a digital guide for caregivers to follow in creating fun origami pieces using the brand’s recyclable paper. Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida will be doing a 5km run to raise funds for mental wellbeing on Thursday, April 15, at 07h00 in partnership with Discovery Vitality and the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). She will be accompanied by Miss Supranational South Africa and Miss South Africa 2020 first runner-up, Dr Thato Mosehle, who will be representing South Africa at the Miss Supranational pageant later this year. Discovery Vitality – which has partnered with Miss South Africa and her hugely successful #MindfulMondays initiative – will be donating R20 000 to SADAG on Musida’s behalf. Enhle Mbali Applies For Restraining Order Against Soon To Be Ex-Husband

Enhle Mbali and her soon to be ex husband, Black Coffee parted ways late in 2019, with Enhle alleging that Black Coffee was unfaithful during their marriage. The couple have two children together and Black Coffee has two children from a previous relationship. The drama between Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa and her estranged husband, Nkosinathi “Black Coffee” Maphumulo seem to be far from being over. Mbali applied for a restraining order against DJ Black Coffee in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Activists were seen outside court showing their support for the actress with banners displaying #JusticeForEnhle,  #HandsoffEnhle and “Am I Next?”. Gender-based violence advocacy group, Women For Change, posted its solidarity on Sunday, with other high-profile figures such as actress Rosie Motene, author Jackie Phamotse and radio host Penny Lebyane outside court in support of Enhle. Childhood is an important stage that requires age-specific nutrition.  According to  Food and Nutrition Bulletin 2017, Vol. 38(3) 405-  South Africa’s children between the ages of one and five years, do not get adequate vital nutrients in their daily diet.  Some of the critical nutrient gaps identified for young children are a deficiency in Vitamin A, Zinc and Iron.  Infact between 44 and 62% of SA children under 5 do not get enough Iron, 58% have an insufficient intake of Vitamin A and 55% of this age group’s intake of zinc is less than adequate. These sub optimal nutrient intakes affect our childrens ability to grow and develop optimally, it affects the health of their immune systems which all contributes to poorer adult outcomes in terms of cognitive development and overall  health and well being.
