Seconds, a newly filmed South African eVod original movie is set for release this July. Directed by Liese Kuhn and brought to life by the bold writing of Andrico Goosen, SECONDS tells the heartfelt story of Seconds Khumalo, an aging boxer from the East Rand of Johannesburg.  In Seconds, expect to delve into the complex dynamics of the Khumalo family and the Van Tonder family, for whom Seconds has trained as a boxer while working at their family butchery. As the story unfolds, long-buried secrets and unresolved traumas begin to surface, causing tensions to rise.  As Seconds' son, Lukas Khumalo (played by Nicholas Moitoi), embarks on a promising political career, his aspirations unknowingly strain his father's relationship with Pa Van Tonder (played by Toni Caprari), the patriarch of the family. 2023 JOBURG FILM FESTIVAL SELECTION ANNOUNCED

A CELEBRATION OF LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL CINEMA WITH OVER 60 FILMS TO BE SCREENED The Joburg Film Festival, brought to you in partnership with MultiChoice, will kick off its six-day celebration of filmmaking and storytelling excellence on Tuesday 31st January 2023, today announced the selection of the over 60 films that will be screened at the coveted festival. Following a two-year hiatus, festival organisers earlier this year confirmed the return of this leading film festival to take place in 2023. The Joburg Film Festival once again boasts a well-known and globally respected team including Zimbabwean born internationally renowned Festival Curator Keith Shiri and Film Festival Programmer, the equally established and known industry expert Jack ChiangSet to showcase some of the finest films from over 35 countries across the globe, including 20 African premieres and 27 South African premieres, the Joburg Film festival will run from Tuesday, 31st January 2023 to Sunday, 5th February 2023

I Can't help falling in love with Elvis's Iconic Look. The new film Elvis premiered on Wednesday, 22 June 2022, at a red carpet event in Sandton City at the Ster-Kinekor cinema. “Some people tap their feet, some people snap their fingers, and some people sway back and forth. I just sorta do ‘em all together, I guess.”  - Elvis in 1956  Elvis Presley, arguably one of the most famous singers of all time. Dubbed the "King of Rock n Rock"  emerged from humble country beginnings to become an iconic cultural influence even  decades after his untimely death in 1977. Sorbet Man Sandton partnered with  Ster-Kinekor  to host a few celebrities and media for a grooming experience to celebrate and embrace the King of Rock n Rock's iconic look. Guests were treated to flash facial and mani before heading to the red carpet event.  Elvis  released in South Africa cinemas this past Friday on the 25th June 2022.

Kedibone makes its debut on Netflix streaming platform

Johannesburg   – Popular South African actor Matli Mohapeloa best known for his former role as DJ Ngwazi on Rhythm City and Moss on Zabalaza hosted a Netflix open invite screening party in collaboration with The PR and Brand Network, a Public Relations, brand innovation and communication agency based in Morningside, Sandton. The screening party, which took place on Friday, 27 May 2022 at the LCS Holdings Business Park, 1 Saxon Road, Hyde Park, was a celebration of local productions, while Kedibone made its Netflix debut. Kedibone is a proudly South African film, directed by Thomas Gumede, who is also known for Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013), Ayanda (2015), and Single Guys (2013). The film depicts the difficulties that young people face and tells the story of an aspiring actor from Soweto who manages to pay for school with the help of her boyfriend.
