The countdown for the premiere episode of the telenovela  Champions  has begun. Viewers across Southern Africa are just a few hours away from the big night that will kick off the first episode of the brand-new story of passion, love, power and perseverance.  Champions  premieres on channel 161 tonight at 19:00 and will be available on DStv Stream. Last night was a wrap of a highly dramatic week with an equally dramatic live eviction show with Sammy M becoming the second housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi S'ya Mosha house. Her eviction follows a nomination show that saw the Head of House, Disruptor Neo, saving and replacing McJunior with Zee. In her on-stage interaction with host Lawrence, Sammy M shed light on the nature of her relationship with Willy and described him as a crush that turned into a kissing buddy. She let the audience in on where her mind was in the house, saying she did not want to wear her heart on her sleeve and reveal her feelings for him. Meanwhile, in the house, the housemates expressed an expected shock at her departure, with Yolanda visibly devastated by this eviction. It may be considered an unexpected reaction from Yolanda when Sammy M described her as the one housemate she couldn't stand in the house. The businesswoman, healer and reality TV star recently spoke at her high school on her calling  KWAZULU-NATAL: The school curriculum for 2024 has started. Learners from all walks of life gather at schools. From different religions; Islamic, Christian, Hindu, and so forth. Among these are those who also practice African spirituality – which in some schools and communities has been seen as ungodly, evil, dirty, and taboo. Self-made millionaire, traditional healer, philanthropist, and Real Housewives Of Johannesburg reality star, Thobekile Mdlalose hopes to help demystify African spirituality, especially at schools and education institutions where some learners and students find themselves having to advance on a spiritual journey. Thobekile recently made a much-needed visit to Northlands Girls High School in Durban North where she schooled, to speak on African spirituality as there have been a handful of learners who have experienced calling in the presence of other learners at the school

Tyla Wins Grammy for Best African Music Performance

South African singer Tyla won a Grammy in the category of Best African Music Performance on Sunday. The artist won the award for her afropiano and R&B song  Water , which has reached global popularity and made various achievements. Tyla beat other African stars, including Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, ASAKE & Olamide and Davido featuring South African artist Musa Keys.  Tyla's hit single "Water" peaked last month at number 7 on  the Billboard Hot 100 chart . "Oh my - what the heck!" Tyla said at the start of her acceptance speech. "Oh my gosh, guys. This is crazy. Like I never thought I'd say, 'I won a Grammy at 22 years old, guys'," she said. The Recording Academy did not make Tyla sweat as the Johannesburg-born singer took home the Grammy for Best African Music Performance in the category's first year.
