A 'TRUE FASHION' CONVERSATION ON THE OCCASION OF THE CAPE TOWN ART FAIR BRINGING ART, FASHION AND MUSIC TOGETHER IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FRENCH INSTITUTE OF SA

On the 18 th  of February, the French Institute of South Africa will host a discussion around fashion sustainability with esteemed fashion designers Lukhanyo Mdingi and David Sher, and 4 burgeoning South African young talents. The panel discussion will be surrounded by the creations which were made by the four mentees, during the True Fashion mentorship program, followed by some music beats. The participants will be unpacking the fashion of tomorrow in the face of the challenges of "fast fashion" and the impact of the textile industry on the environment. The designers will discuss the importance of collaboration and mentorship in nurturing sustainable practices, as well as sharing their individual journeys and challenges. The discussion will be balanced between Mdingi’s experience, who began his eponymous label in 2015 and is a recent recipient of the coveted Karl Lagerfeld Prize, and Sher, the co-founder of Good Good Good, a brand that elevates modern streetwear using ethica

As we are approaching the halfway point of Trevor Stuurman’s already phenomenally successful solo exhibition “A Place Called Home”, the Botho Project Space team today confirmed the Sunday Best Experience, inviting all lovers of life to gather for a bespoke dining experience on the 12 and 19 th  June respectively. Aptly themed SUNDAY BEST, these specially curated experiences will be set in the beautiful garden of the home where Trevor’s exhibition is currently being hosted in Parktown, Johannesburg. ‘A PLACE CALLED HOME’ OPENS ON THE 20 TH  MAY CURATED SUNDAY BEST EXPERIENCES ALONGSIDE EXHIBITION                      Johannesburg, South Africa  – Art curator Botho Project Space today announced its latest offering,  A Place Called Home,  showcasing the works of award-winning contemporary visual artist Trevor Stuurman. The much-anticipated first solo exhibition by Trevor Stuurman will officially open on the 20th of May (Opening on the 19 th  of May) and will run until the 19th of June 2022 in Johannesburg.   A Place Called Home  is where Trevor Stuurman’s story and journey come alive. He places himself within the exhibition by personifying various themes and installations, all created to live throughout the home that is created by Botho Project Space, with furniture and homeware from Weylandts. Home is the foundation of Stuurman’s life, constantly choosing to create his understanding of the world he sees through his own familiarity.    A Place Called Home  is a celebration that aims
