SIP, SAVOUR & SLOW DOWN AT NEDERBURG IN PAARL

The popular Slow Market has moved to the Nederburg winery in Paarl. A civic institution and favourite attraction for tourists and locals over the course of 13 years, the original gourmet food market in Stellenbosch has influenced many small entrepreneurs’ lives and has grown multiple well-loved brands from humble beginnings. To celebrate its new home in Paarl, young and old market lovers were invited for a deep-dive into utter deliciousness by making their way there for a vibey night market experience on Friday, 10 December, with another taking place this coming Friday, on the 17 th , just before Christmas.  The market’s normal trading hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 15:00, while the duo of night markets start at 17:00 and run until 21:00. NEDERBURG OFFERS HELPING HAND TO RESTAURANTS AND WAIT STAFF

Nederburg Wines is spending close to R1-million to encourage diners to return to their favourite licenced eateries in a campaign primarily designed to boost the beleaguered restaurant sector. Working with around 150 restaurant nationwide, as part of its #TastesOfSouthAfrica campaign, the award-winning brand is giving away R600 000 in vouchers via selected retailers that can be redeemed at participating establishments during August and September. More details can be found at  www.nederburg.com .   At the same time, every wait staff member selling Nederburg wines at these restaurants over the period will be entitled to a cash incentive. “Restaurants have been amongst the hardest-hit sectors in the pandemic,” says marketing manager Jackie Olivier. “We hope this campaign will bring people back to dining out again.
