FEATHERS AWARDS DECLARED TIME TO BE UNFVCKEN APOLOGETIC ABOUT INCLUSION AS THE 2022 FEATHER AWARDS NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

The highly anticipated Feather Awards is almost upon us and earlier today the colourful list of 2022 nominees were announced following the hoisting of the Pride flag at the home of human rights Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg. The intimate affair boasted speakers including this year's Award hosts the Modiselle sisters, Refilwe, Bontle and Candice, Thami Dish as well as the reigning Miss South Africa Ndavi Nokeri alongside Miss SA CEO Stephanie Courtney- Weil. Other speakers included Dr Dulcy Rakumakoe, Constitutional Hill's Janine Muthusamy and Dawn Robertson, Zingisa Jemsana - COO of Market Theatre, PFSAQ's Linah Ngwenya, Fundi Ndaba from FEW and Sign language activist Andiswa Gebashe. The awards return to the Market Theatre in Johannesburg and set to take place on Thursday, 10th November 2022. THE 12TH ANNUAL FEATHERS AWARDS TURNED UP THE LOVE

The 12 th  annual Feather Awards took place last night at the home of the Constitution in Braamfontein, Constitution Hill and what an evening it was. Having to adapt to the new ‘norm’ the awards observed social distancing with an intimate evening filled with electrifying performances, emotional acceptance speeches and plenty of energy. Synonymous  for it’s colourful live entertainment and witty commentary, the carefully scaled down affair did not fail to deliver with outstanding live performance from the super talented legendary songstress Gloria Bosman. Guests flew the LGBTIQ+ flag high and played out this years the theme “Turn Up the Love’ in all it’s glory.                         “With the current on going global pandemic, we made a call that the show must go on, obviously respecting all government regulations. AUS VELEMINA NOMINATED FOR THE 12TH ANNUAL FEATHERS AWARDS

The long awaited 2020 feather Awards nominee list is Finally out, and The E Communications is proud to announce that Aus Velemina has been nominated in the 2020 Awards. The list was announced at an intimate media gathering in Johannesburg this past Thursday.  The 2020 theme is Turn Up love, dedicated to uplifting the names of LGBTIQ activist who are doing the important work in communities across the Country. Aus Velemina who hails from Pretoria is popular for her Tiktok stints and funny videos on all the Social Media platforms. Aus Velemina born Thabang Ledwaba has been nominated for the Social Media Personality of the Year category. She has been nominated against Vuyokazi Nguqu, SIV Ngezi and Coconut Kelz.
