Johannesburg, 6 August 2021: M-Net and Mr Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols SA in light of the allegations made against him by his estranged husband Mohale Motaung. According to then statement released today by The channel. They have reached a mutual agreement that Mr Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved.   Viewers will still see Mr Mhlongo on their screens until Sunday, 22 August 2021, as the audition shows for Idols SA were pre-recorded.  We've reached out to the channel's representative regarding Somizi's replacement but the answers were not given to us. After being part of five great seasons of Mzansi Magic’s popular telenovela, The Queen, Loyiso MacDonald is leaving the telenovela. The Actor plays the composed character of Kagiso Khoza who is affectionately known as ‘’Sgaqagaqa’’. According to Mzansi Magic's Statement the actor is leaving the telenovela to pursue other endeavors, but there was no comment from the actor himself - rise eyebrows.  “MacDonald has entertained our viewers over the past five seasons and  over the years many of them have fallen in love with his character. Radio 702 and 947 owners PriMedia has fired radio DJs Fresh and Euphonik following the rape allegations that the pair is facing. The media company announced the decision on Wednesday evening, indicating that it opted to release the two popular DJs from their contracts. “Primedia Broadcasting can confirm that, after careful consideration of the events of the last few weeks, the company has decided to release DJ Fresh and Euphonik from their contracts. Their last shows on 947 were aired on 15th January and 10th January 2021 respectively,” reads the statement. The decision follows allegations which were made by a woman on Twitter who claimed that the two DJs raped her in 2017, at an unknown lodge after a party.
