SECOND ANNUAL COTTON FESTIVAL VENUE AND DATE CONFIRMED #cottonfest2020 Tuesday 1 0 th   September  2019  – Following the announcement last month of the second  annual Cotton Fest   tak ing  place in February 2020 , festival curator / festival founder Riky Rick together with his team today launched the festivals highly-anticipated artwork. The second edition of the festival is taking place on the 1 st  February 2020 at The Station (Newtown). Having created great buzz and interest in the culture last year, focus was placed on the creation of new and improved artwork for the second edition of the festival taking place next year.  As done with all events, the brand logo this year was used on various promotional material including the merchandise, posters, flyers and TV ads. The team realised it’s popularity within the sub-culture when various graffiti pieces popped up in and around Johannesburg. Idols Season 15 Top 15 Lemme First acknowledge the fact that 2019 Idols contestants brought their guns and pipes to win it. In the past two weeks, Group One and Group Two gave their best performances to try and earn a spot in the Top 10. Like in any competition, someone  has to leave. Whoo Shems Left, Right and Centre as Idols SA Top 17 Group Two Wows The Audience

Last week, Group One of the Top 17 set the scene for what is going to be a tough competition with their rousing performances. But this week, Group Two showed that they too were ready to move the audience and get them moving with their pipes. This week’s contestants gave everyone a taste of what to expect in tonight’s show with their group performance of  Cassper Nyovest ’s   Move For Me . Continuing on the theme of Trending, this week’s contestants gave performances to be proud of, with the judges giving them overall positive feedback. An excellent performance by  Umlazi KwaZulu-Natal’s Sneziey Msomi  proved it is no mistake she has come this far with her spiritual performance of   SbuNoah ’s   Getsemane. The Judges were emphatic in their feedback -   she belonged to the stage.  Randall Abrahams said her voice was on point. While Unathi Nkayi said she could visualize in the Top 10. Somizi Mhlongo said her song choice was possibly the smartest song choice in in the history

Idols SA TOP 17 GROUP ONE SETS THE BAR HIGH

The much-anticipated Idols Season 15 live shows has begun!  Tonight, mzansi got a taste of the excellence they can expect to see over the next few weeks as the Top 17 compete to be the South African IDOL for 2019. IDOLS TOP 17 GROUP 1 Season 15 has come with some pretty interesting twists. For the first time in Idols history – we have a Top 17 instead of Top 16. And in two weeks,  SEVEN  contestants will be eliminated from the show. So, Group One of the Top 17 really needed to bring their A-game to ensure their spot in the Top 10.  Tonight’s theme was “Trending ”, so the contestants had to sing songs that have set social media on fire over the past few years. From Mpumalanga-born Sizwe Hlatshwayo to Capetonian Xola Toto , the contestants wowed the judges who were not short on compliments.
